Teaching aims : The students know the different forms of starting a business and the importance of entrepreneurship. They know all the relevant success factors for starting a business. The students know all the relevant planning areas for starting a business, including the development of business ideas and business models, and can apply these. They know industry-specific features of starting a business in the ICT sector, have the technical, methodological, and social skills to create a practical business plan, and can reflect on team-building processes. 
Contents :

Introduction to entrepreneurship (current statistics, reasons for professional self-employment, risks and success factors for professional self-employment, the "optimal" entrepreneur, driving forces for starting a business, entrepreneurial innovation, business start-up planning, life cycle of a company) Introduction to business plan (why business plan, introduction to the individual components of a business plan: start-up idea, founding team, market analysis / marketing concept, location, organization and financing) Introduction to business models (basics and definition of business models, central building blocks such as customer benefits, value creation and revenue mechanics, business model patterns, analysis and evaluation as well as practical methods and frameworks such as the business model canvas) Introduction to innovation management (definition of innovation, product life cycle, systematic development of a business idea, innovation process, idea management, creativity techniques, use of MVPs and the lean startup methodology) Project management (introduction to project management, agile vs. classic project management, project management steps, project organization and risks) Competence development (Understanding the concept of competence, a system of competencies, competence development, measurement, training, and team building) Conflict management (types of conflict, causes of conflict, signals of conflict, escalation levels, maintaining conflict, resolving conflict)
