Teaching aims : Students know the procedures for integrating (multi-) media into interactive applications and can synchronise these media. You understand current standards and media architectures. You will be able to conceptualise and evaluate a navigation and screen design for multimedia applications according to criteria such as aesthetics and usability. In the development steps from conception to design to technical realisation, students can apply their skills in teamwork and present their results to third parties. 
Contents :

The course content is taught within a thematic framework - the development of a computer game. In addition to technical content, the courses also cover media theory - for example: - History of computer games - Socio-cultural aspects of computer games - Different genres of computer games - Economic and organisational aspects of game production - Interactive storytelling, non-linear dramaturgies - Design aspects of game development (interface design, character design, level design) - Game engines - C# programming in Unity - Lighting, shading, render pipelines - Animation and interaction in Unity - Terrain Editing - Cross-platform production, output formats (desktop, web, mobile, AR/VR)
