Additional assessments during the semester may be included in the final grading. 
Teaching aims : The students will be able * to conceive, design, technically implement and present a thematically specified design project * by knowing and applying the foundations of visual media (e.g., color, typography, image design, logo design and layout), * as well as demonstrating the use of professional design software (e.g. Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud) * to apply the foundations of media design in subsequent lectures (e.g. interactive systems, cross-device-interaction, and human-computer interaction). 
Contents :

This module conveys the foundations of media design through the creation of a design project. The learning content covers the following key areas: * Gestalt principles of perception * Design elements * Logo design and semiotics * Color theory, color design, and color perception * Typography * Image design * Layout of digital and analog media
